In Ogun Wife of APC local govt Chairmanship candidate kidnapped

The wife of Gafar Balogun, a local government chairmanship candidate in Ogun State, has been kidnapped, Premium Times reports.

The victim, Kudirat Balogun, was said to have been abducted at gunpoint on Sunday, August 22.

The kidnappers arrived the family home of the Baloguns in Abeokuta  at about 8.00 p.m and whisked Mrs Balogun away, her son, Kehinde, told the newspaper.

The 13-year-old said the abductors took him and the mother into a waiting Toyota matrix car before he was let go and his mum taken away.

He quoted the kidnappers as saying, “Your father is a sure person, your mummy will return soon.”

The abductors had not contacted the family as at press time.

Confirming the incident, the Ogun police spokesperson,Abimbola Oyeyemi, the command said The victim's husband is the the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the October 8 local government elections.search is ongoing for the victim.

           And also the victim's son stated that, the kidnappers is saying,“Your father is a sure person, your mummy will return soon.”
